100 Days to Go: Summer Sailing Camps 2026 in Taitung

With just 100 days to go until summer, excitement is building up at Taitung Sailing School as we prepare for one of the most anticipated seasons of the year: our annual summer camps. This will be our seventh year running camps in Taitung, and every year they continue to grow as one of the most popular ways for kids to experience sailing in Taiwan. From first-time sailors to returning students, we spend the entire year preparing to deliver an unforgettable camp experience.
A Summer of Sailing and Adventure
In 2026, we are excited to offer 9 weeks of lake-based kids camps and 2 weeks of ocean camps, giving students the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in sailing courses and a wide range of outdoor activities.
Each day is split into morning, afternoon and evening activities:
Morning: hands-on sailing classes and sailing lessons, where students learn sailing techniques, safety, and teamwork on the water;
Afternoon: adventure-based outdoor activities, from beach games to creative workshops and nature exploration; and
Evening: fun night activities, like star gazing and beach bonfires.
The experience is designed to help students not only learn sailing skills, but also build confidence, independence, and a strong connection to the natural environment.
From Lake to Ocean
Our lake camps, on Taitung's beautiful Flowing Lake, provide the perfect setting for beginners to develop their skills in a safe and controlled environment. For more experienced sailors, our ocean camps offer the chance to take their learning to the next level and experience the real conditions of sailing in Taiwan. This progression makes our sailing courses suitable for all levels, from complete beginners to more advanced students.
Our summer camps are about more than just sailing. Students enjoy fresh, healthy meals prepared in-house every day, a bilingual environment led by international staff, and, one of the most valuable parts of the experience, the chance to take a break from phones and screens. During their week with us in Taitung, our students enjoy a rare chance to reconnect with nature, build new friendships, and have a summer experience where they get to mentally recharge.
